At BACK9, we live and breathe golf. It all started with our founder, Raul, who stumbled upon the game by chance during his freshman year of high school. After a football injury, Raul turned to the sport his dad introduced him to not long before. Little did he know, it would become a lifelong passion.
From the very beginning, Raul saw golf as more than just a sport. It was a game of skill, both physically and mentally, and a pathway to college. With the help of his dad and coach Robert Vela, Raul taught himself to play and made the varsity team for the next three years. But it wasn't all smooth sailing.
Despite the setbacks and misconceptions that he was "behind" or "lacked a resume" compared to his peers, Raul's love for the game never faltered. He worked tirelessly to hone his skills and become the best he could be.
It was this passion that led to the creation of BACK9, a company that embodies the love of the game and the drive to succeed. We're here to inspire and empower golfers of all skill levels to unleash their inner greatness and unlock their full potential on the course.
